In the security industry there is a lot of focus on safety, education, firearm training etc. However the driving skills of security officers seem to be overlooked. Security Officers are required to respond to emergency situations, driving at high speed but are not necessarily taught special skills required to drive at such high speeds.

Many people have been hurt in accidents and some killed in shooting and/or high speed chasing incidents. We are determined to improve the skills of Security Officers in the industry, and reduce these numbers. However, we cannot over look the financial aspect.

Companies spend a lot of money on excess payments to insurance companies, following incidents Security Officers were involved with whilst driving at high speed. This results in increased insurance premiums, loss of man-hours and other costs that aren’t necessarily accounted for. These might include fleet costs of certain companies.
